FR/ Entre mes murs, scrutant le monde, j’ai pris ma caméra pour parler d’intimité face à un ébranlement mondial.
Juste avant l’apparition du virus, j’avais acheté une nouvelle caméra. Lorsque nous nous sommes retrouvés enfermés chez nous, j’ai commencé à filmer sans savoir quoi dire. Je voulais juste trouver une énergie créatrice pour traverser ce moment. J’ai retrouvé des images de Josée, ma grand-mère paternelle décédée, filmée en Super 8 par mon grand-père. J’ai fouillé les diapositives de famille dans l’appartement désormais inoccupé de Jeannine, mon autre grand-mère, qui démarrait le confinement en maison de repos.
En parallèle de ce que je filmais chez moi, j’avais fait un appel sur les réseaux sociaux pour recevoir des images, des sons d’ailleurs.
Le fémur brisé, c’est une question pour réfléchir à ce que nous sommes ensemble.
EN/ Within my walls, scrutinising the world, I took my camera to talk about intimacy in the face of a global upheaval.
Just before the virus appeared, I had bought a new camera. When we found ourselves locked in our home, I started filming without knowing what to say. I just wanted to find a creative energy to get through this moment. I found images of Josée, my deceased grandmother, filmed in Super 8 by my grandfather. I searched the family slides in the now unoccupied flat of Jeannine, my other grandmother, who was starting the confinement in a nursing home.
In parallel to what I was filming at home, I had made a call on social networks to receive images and sounds from elsewhere.
The broken femur is a question to think about what we are together.
